A New Neighborhood for Minneapolis

Course: Field Studies in Real Estate and Urban Design (Harvard)

For this project, I proposed a design and financing plan for transforming an area of Minneapolis from underused riverfront industrial district into a mixed-income, mixed-typology, and mixed-use neighborhood. I used prevailing parcel patterns nearby to inform how I deployed buildings on the grid, and interrupted the Midwestern grid pattern with a diagonal gesture that upends traditional market logics.
