Parkside Redevelopment kickoff

Organized and planned a community engagement event for residents of the Villages at Parkside, a public housing project on the east side of Detroit. Ahead of releasing an RFP to identify a private-sector development team to redevelop Parkside, this event sought to identify residents' development priorities for: 

1. commitments, services, or benefits the developer should provide,

2. qualities residents want in a developer,

3. other ideas. 

The top-voted ideas generated by residents were made mandatory requirements of the redevelopment RFP. The event also had an opportunity to elect resident representatives who then voted on respondents to the RFP.
