Patrick Braga is a Catholic liturgical composer based in metro Detroit. He composes in a variety of styles, including new polyphony in the Renaissance tradition, traditional hymns, contemporary praise and worship, and contemporary classical works deeply steeped in both Gregorian chant and common-practice tonality. Patrick's music has been heard over fifty times in the Archdiocese of Detroit, and his work has been performed on tour by both the Cornell University Glee Club and Chorus. Patrick is particularly attentive to voice-leading and playability, ensuring that even more technically challenging works are learnable and satisfying.
